I've been living with my symptoms for 5 years, and lately i've really begun to struggle emotionally and mentally with the impact endo is having on my life.
I feel like i'm losing my sense of self, I'm struggling with everything from doing my job properly, to keeping my house clean. My husband has always been supportive, but lately he has been getting frustrated with me for being 'Negative' when i try to explain that this is a lifelong condition.
I'm sure that many of you have been in the same sort of head space, and any advice or just a chance to talk about it would be amazing. Thanks in advance ladies xx

I'm so sorry to hear you're struggling and I know the feeling. I was first diagnosed at 21 and am now 28 and still struggling with symptoms 4 laparoscopies later.
My partner tries to be sympathetic but definitely throws out the same negativity card and it's a running joke that I wake up every morning with some pain or problem to complain about!
For me, support networks like this are great but I started cognitive behavioural therapy and it really helped me with coping mechanisms for managing the emotional side effects of symptoms and the days when it doesn't seem fair to have to deal with it or people didn't seem understanding.
My doctor even referred me through the NHS before I decided to go private to help fit around work commitments but I would really recommend it, it's a very long and tiring road and not for everyone but it's a safe space where you can feel understood and supported and learn to support yourself better too!
I also bombard my partner with articles and stories from endometriosis sufferers just to remind him it's something lots of people are living with and sometimes he even reads them!
You're welcome to rant on here though anytime, there'll always be someone listening so go for it! X
