Skin rash and temperature endometriosis

I had diagnostic lapro surgery 5 days ago and am having my follow up at hospital tomorrow afternoon, I was diagnosed with endo that is spread everywhere the dr said, so I don't know what stage but I guess they will explain more tomorrow and are planning my next surgery to have it removed.

But I have been off work recovering last few days I'm taking perscribed codeine for pain recovery in still so sore and in pain and very swollen abdomen constantly.

I keep getting hot I am wearing less clothing having to keep windows open an drinking lots of water and I also keep coming up with lots of small reddish bumps on my abdomen area and on tops of front of legs that are luckily only mildly itchy. Does anyone know what this can be, has anyone else had it, should I be so worried?

Thanks xxx

I’ve never heard of this happening.. are you able to take your temperature at home? I wouldn’t worry too too much but make sure you bring this up tomorrow with your doctor. How do your incisions look?

Hi yea I had my follow up today and asked about the rash and showed him as i still had it all on my abdomen, he said it could be as your skin maybe more sensitive due to endo and I do have very sensitive skin he reckons it was the alcohol (Orange stuff) they put on your body part before surgery, had stripped away my protective layer so It basically was a reaction to something.

My stitches are looking good, I've looked after them Well, all clean and dry just a bit of bruising around them, I get a sharp burning pain now and then but only last a few seconds. So I have rested for 6 days well and am going to try going back to work tomorrow morning.

Okay then I’m sure you’re good :) probably irritation from the iodine they use to sterilize! I’ve never had a reaction so I immediately got worried you had an infection but sounds like you’re good :) maybe try some barrier cream or something similar on the rash to protect it!

Yes thankyou. Iodine that's it. Ok I'll get some proper barrier cream tomorrow, but for tonight what u think of using sudocrem as that's for eczema and rashes ?

Hope you’re appointment and healing process goes well 😊 I had a rash come up on my abdomen and chest too a few days after surgery but it went away again maybe a week or so after? I think someone said it can be a side effect of the gas or antiseptic they use.

I see. yea all healing well so far thanks, I'm not the only one then. I showed the dr today the rash he rekons it was a reaction caused from the alcohol rubbed all over on body part before surgery. It strips away your skins protection layer as I have sensitive skin he advised a sensetive skin moisturiser on it to help reduce it.
