Is it Endo?

Hello,

A little background - I have bled every day for almost a year now, some days light, some heavy.

Only in the past month or two have I had extreme pains which are unbearable.

I have had a smear test and an internal examination which were both clear and also has external and an internal ultrasound which again I have been told there’s is nothing wrong.

They have put the bleeding down to me previously being on the depo injection {this was almost 18 months ago I had my last shot!}.

At the moment, the pain is bad - the GP sent me away with painkillers.

Given the symptoms I have I just wanted to know if anyone else had the same and was then diagnosed with Endometriosis.

I am trying to get a referral to a Gynaecologist which is proving pretty difficult right now - I may go private.

Any advice would be great

Hi there. I’ve had bleeding for a few months now - not all the time but just for a few days mid cycle. I had a laparoscopy a fortnight ago where they found endometriosis. They can’t be certain this has caused the bleeding but the biopsy they took came back clear and everything else looked ok in there. I’d suggest getting referred to a gynaecologist. My ultrasound came back as clear. Unfortunately at the moment I think a laparoscopy is the only way of diagnosing Endo. Good luck. Hope your pain subsides and you get answers. Xx
