Hey guys, I had my first prostap injection on 18th March and I just bled for two weeks solid and had the most horrendous time whilst on it, but, after posting on here I wanted to persevere. However, when I went for my second load the nurse asked if I'd had any symptoms so I told her all my symptoms and how I felt like I was literally losing the plot and going mental and just felt so irritable 24/7 as well as hot flushes etc. She said that she wouldn't be giving me it again without a second opinion from another gyno o.
So now, after feeling like I may have possibly meet one of the best Gyno's ever, he prescribed me with a higher dosage or prostap which lasts for 3 months but also put me on tibilone to kind of balance my hormones out. I just want to say that if you're having a tough time in your first month of prostap then make sure you are open and honest with the nurse or whoever you see next time, you shouldn't have to feel like you need to accept the fact you are just a mental patient and feel like you have lost all control of yourself because that is not the side effect that you need to put up with! I have been on tibilone for over a week and although it was a rocky few days after my higher dose of prostap I finally feel somewhat balanced out, unfortunately it hasn't done much for the hot flushes which I get around 7 times a day now!
Keep going g girls! We got this!
