I suspect (without much medical knowledge) that they have seen something that suggests you may have adhesions. They are like bands of fibrous tissue that can form, particularly if you have had previous surgery in your pelvis. It may have shown up as something looking slightly out of place or fixed, as if stuck down ('tethered' by the elastic band-like adhesions).

Adhesions are something associated with endometriosis, but can also be unrelated.

It means something is attached ('tethered') to something else. For example my bowel was tethered to my uterus. With endo its generally adhesions which cause it.

Thanks so much lovely ladies. I’ve got severe stage 4 endo and had 4 previous operations. The mri shows tethering on my uterus, bowel, ovaries and rectum. I just didn’t know what it meant, but I do now xx thanks again xx
