Which contraceptive

Hi guys I'm really hoping for some advice I'm booked in for a contraceptive Monday and I don't have a clue which to go for i tried the implant some years ago for contraceptive purposes and it was hell bled everyday etc etc this time I need it to try stop my periods as my endre is so bad and my periods are awful hormones all over the place I was thinking about trying the injection has anyone had this and been ok with it I know everyone is different I just want stop my periods seriously can't take much more but so scared of the side affects

Hi Laura, I can't be much help but I'm in the same boat. I have a few more prostap injections to have them I have to decide. My gynaecologist is one of the best and she recommended a mirena coil however my husband and I want to try for a baby when I feel better so it's a little long term for us. She has told us to research and decide but she highly recommends the coil to stop any growth and symptoms. She says it's the best way to stop it coming back.

Microgynon has helped subside the pain. But not that I have 2 cyst in my left ovary its affecting my period pains. But microgynon helped a lot.

I was on Yaz and had lots of bleeding and pain. I had a Mirena inserted and put on Microgynon 20 and then was switched to Microgynon 30, but neither of them stopped my bleeding. I am now taking Norimin, combined with the Mirena, which seems to be working. I have less pain and I rarely bleed now.
