So last Thursday I had my diagnostic laparoscopy for suspected endometriosis. The specialist had already told me he had felt endometrial lesions during pelvic exam. I also had the merina coil fitted and biopsies.
When I came round after the op I was in servere pain. On the scale of 9-10/10. I was given morphine and all other pain relief whilst I was still in the recovery room.
My blood pressure was also 100 over 51. I also really struggled to wee.
I eventually came home after 7 hours later.
I was told they had to cut away lesions from my right ovary tube and bowel. I was quite out of it so I think that's all they said.
Since being hone I have been in loads of pain. Dizziness and exhausted. I've gained 2 very large bruises on mu right side from where the lesions were removed I'm guessing. Yesterday I had a few bright red/pink blood streaks when I wiped and lots of cervical mucus. I also passed a couple of clots. Today is the same but more blood and very painful period cramps. Still feeling awful too.
Is this normal? I can get up and do things. Just very slowely.
Oh I also can't poo. I've taken fibre drinks for the last 2 days and still nothing.
So for all the tmi but sometimes you just need to say it all.

This sounds almost exactly like my experience!! Not being able to pee after is 100 percent completely normal, it can take hours and hour to finally go to the toilet!
I have never met anybody who has endo on the bowel like me so I can definitely relate to this! Not being able to poo is also extremely normal, as the endo was on your bowel and it’s now been removed it’s likely that your bowel is shocked, it’s also normal to have very irregular bowel movements with endo let alone when you have it on bowel as well!
All sounds completely normal! It took me at least 7-10 days to be able to get up out of the house and then I didn’t last long! People don’t realise it takes the life out of you, my consultant recommended I took 3 weeks off work afterwards!
If you get any worse or you gain a temperature etc then definitely call your GP other than that you sound like any normal person recovering from surgery.
I called and spoke to the surgeons secretary today. She said because I was pretty out of it when I was told what happened she will speak to the surgeon and see if he can explain again and the biopsies could take 2-3 weeks to come back. Have been sent to adenbrookes apparently. She's also made a note of the clots I'm passing. The surgeon isn't in today but she'll have a word for me tomorrow.
I was wondering if me feeling dizzy alot of the time is due to the blood pressure or maybe because I can't poop.
All of this sounds very similar to my experience. The difficulty going to the washroom is likely because of the morphine (it causes constipation). If they didn't prescribe you docusate, you can get OTC laxatives/stool softeners Fibre may just be adding bulk to your stools so I'd suggest a softener (a medication that draws water into your stools). Good luck!
