My fibroid has grown and is now 15cm x 9cm and my gyaenocology unit believe this isn't urgent enough for a consultation regarding removal until July ( it is March now). I am signed off work due too Mennorhagia ( I bleed 3 weeks a month) , I've had 4 blood tranftransfusions and was declared aneamic and finished a 6 month course of zoladex which was a horrific experience!! Fibroid has grown 5cm in 5 months! I rang hospital today but was told by someone in the gyaenocology unit in the hospital, doesn't believe I need too be seen for another 4 months! My health is deteriorating and the doctor and hospital know this! Feeling upset and let down

Fibroids
Hi. I think I'm in a similar situation, I have a 12cm endometrioma and servere endometrioms which is causing me crippling symptoms and I have months of wait ahead of me. It feels almost inhumane that I have been left like this.
What I think is that it isn't personal, it's just the NHS doesn't have the capacity to sort us out. I've never felt like they didn't believe my pain or that I wasn't suffering, it was more that they can't do anything about it. They sort of throw their arms up and say things like.. It breaks my heart that I can't send you for surgery yet. Its not you, or me it's a system that can't provide for us properly. Best we can do is try to fight and advocate for ourselves to get us treated ASAP.
I'm sorry you're in this awful situation and I really feel for you.
