Hi guys, i don't know if am losing my marbles here but the worry is really getting to me, so i get told i have cysts in both ovaries due to endometriosis, and duRing my surgery i will lose some ovary, i did question where do i stand from a fertility point of view but doc couldn't comment, i mean should i be thinking about freezing my eggs, i dunno anything about this so am confused, anyone else lost any bit of their ovary and what was next for you, please help

I also have/had cysts in both ovaries. The big one in the left was excised, so I lost a big part of that ovary, one small one was emptied an other one left behind untouched in the right one.

I am cluless about the state of my fertility, so are the doctors. Some say that you better freez some eggs before the surgery, some say as long as you have cyst in there you won’t have healthy eggs so there is no point starting the process.

If you are scared to lose your ovaries, you can always start with egg freezing but the process can worsen the endo a lot.

You can always go to a fertility clinic for consultation. They probably have experience in this area.

Thank you for that, it gives me something to go off as they didn't elaborate in the least regarding my ovaries.
