Hi Gracie. The first thing to say is that you aren’t alone and hopefully you will find some support from here. I’ve followed you so we can stay in touch. How old are you? I would say that your periods do not sound normal. What pain relief are you on? Do you have down below like you have been kicked by a horse? Anxiety is a normal response where pain, acute and chronic, is involved. I have a post on medication so take a look. I think you certainly need to go back to the GP and be asking to be referred to gynaecologist. Take care and ask me further questions if I haven’t helped. Elise. X
Hi Elise, thank you so much for responding. I'm 17 years old. I've been prescribed initally mefanamic acid, a low dose of co-codamol and then a higher dose of co-codamol and none of them really have any effect. I've recently been prescribed Voltarol suppository but haven't used that yet. I haven't experienced any pelvic/ 'down-there' pain before. And I'll definitely take a look at your post. I had a ultrasound scan yesterday and it's really annoying because I have to wait 3 weeks for the results. I'll be sure to ask you any questions I have but for now I'm okay. Once again, thank you so much for responding to me. Gracie x
You need to get on Visanne or other progesterone-only pill right away.
Try taking 375 mg of magnesium a day for anxiety/panic attacks.
You also need to seek an experienced endo surgeon by joining the Nancy Nook Facebook group and looking for a surgeon in your area on the "Surgeons International" file
