pain clinic is the best thing I’ve ever been to!!! It is so worth it, for me my first appointment consisted of filling a lengthy questionnaire out so that the specialist can see how your pain affects your life where it is and it also looks at your mental health. I then went in to the doctor and he was extraught by what the gynae wrote in the referral letter, he said women should never be treated like there pain is nothing. He still goes on about how bad the gynae was now!! He asked me everything about my pain and did a quick pelvic exam. He then diagnosed me with pubic synthesis and has put me on steroid groin injections every 3-6 months. He looked at what else could be causing my chronic pelvic pain alongside the endo. On my last appointment he referred me to pelvic physio. I really feel like he understands me well and my care from him has been unreal. Just go into your appointment with an open mind and just be willing to trial anything until you find what suits your pain best. Good luck xx
