I wouldn’t worry, I was exactly the same! Had a lot of pain from the gas under my ribs and in my shoulder, bloated and sore generally but didn’t have wind and didn’t poo for maybe 4-5 days either, think that’s sometimes down to the morphine too. I did end up trying some things to help it along like prune juice and Dulcolax.

I would definitely take some dulcoease. I felt the same after mine. Hope your feeling better soon. X
I was taking codeine after my opp. I had to switch to a different painkiller after several days and then take 3 days of senna to get anything to move. Definitely start a laxative and if it doesn't start working ring your GP.
I didn’t go for three days. They sent me home with lactose but it just made me feel nauseous. I ended up taking movicol - sachets you dilute in water. Went by the next morning.
Took me a while too. Drink lots of water and have lots of fruit - failing that get something to help it all along
I didn’t go for 4 days and even then it was a minute amount, it was a good 2 weeks before I felt I had gone as it were. I take magnesium daily for various reasons but it’s also good for constipation.
Its sound normal, for your satisfaction contact to your ward nurse x
Oh how I wish I’d known before my lap how bad the constipation was going to be, what a shocker! I tried dulcoease but it hurt too much, eventually it settles down x
I took a still softener a day or two before my sugery. Then while on codeine, I drank Miralax once a day. Was able to poo on third day after surgery.
First surgery I had very bad gas but was able to poo after a day or two (though not completely back to normal for weeks). Second surgery I had very little gas but was constipated - was about 5 days before I had the first one and it was so horrendous I thought I would pass out. Probably taken 2 months to get back to normal (I did have scar tissue removed from bowel though). Things that helped me move things along - up the fibre, peppermint capsules and tea, and walking. I’d generally get up in the morning have a fibre filled brekkie with a cup of peppermint, then take a peppermint capsule and pace the house until there was movement!
Oh i feel your pain - I’ve never been as constipated in my whole life after my surgery! I think it was something ridiculous like 10 days for me... I’ve never been so uncomfortable. I tried oral laxatives like movicol and they didn’t work so I ended up having to take a suppository as nothing was working. It works really quickly so if you're desperate like I was, I’d recommend that!
Try windeze, it’s really helping me x
