Hi all.

I know I'm not using this site in the same way as alot of you I was just wandering if I could gain some insight and advice.

I'm a guy so obviously I can't get endometriosis, but my girlfriend is going through the diagnosis and treatment parts of it, she is shortly going to have a laparoscopy to see if we can get a diagnosis for her as she get huge pain around the times of her period and just throughout the various stages of the cycle.

I try do do my best to make sure she is ok, to try and care for her in the best way I possibly can, to always be that open door and someone to just listen to her. I have been currently listening to the audiobook on recognising and treating endometriosis, the doctor will see you now, and this is giving me more insight into just how she feels and how it's affecting her because I can see how much pain she gets into.

So if possible I would like any advice or caring tips you can give from your experiences that I can use to help her remain as relaxed and calm as possible in the time leading up to the laparoscopy, but also in the time after the operation in what I can do to help her recovery and help and support her the best I can and that she would need.

Thankyou for your time in reading this I really appreciate everything and I know just from reading the posts on here she is appreciating the advice you are all giving her.

Bless you! Just being there and listening to her is exactly what she’ll need. Best of luck to you both!
