New Endometriosis UK Support Group in Truro

We are really pleased to be launching a new support group in Cornwall, based in the Truro area.

To find out more visit the group's web page endometriosis-uk.org/suppor.... On this page you will be able to sign up to the group's mailing list and private Facebook group.

They hope to be holding meetings soon, initially these will be online to comply with the current covid-19 restrictions. If you are interested please get in touch with the group, they would love to hear from you!

Brilliant, I'm near Lands End, so I guess we are under the same endo team at Treliske ?Im in on the 19th April for bowel shave, I'm stage 4 and suffering badly, mental health problems too. This is going to be so helpful, and I hope I can offer advice too xx

I am, though they've said they can't guarantee I will be able to go home because I have other health issues unrelated to endo and I've very recently been in hospital with them. Yep got to be there for 7am too in Eden ward too! Definitely be great to meet someone who understands, if your near lands end I'm in Penzance so not too far really 🙂. Xx

Yep , I'm 20 mins from PZ, guess we'll be on the A30 same time, there's roadworks til 6am on the 19th, we figure it should be ok, but be aware.Be lovely to chat, last August I spent 8 bloody hours waiting to go down. I'll be the grumpy one in the corner 😆

Ah, yeah I expect so. I've got someone from volunteer Cornwall taking me 😬 the person that would take me is going to look after my kids. You will know me straight away, I will be the 29 year old with a granny walker and probably wheezing and not able to breathe 😂😂. Oh wow 8 hours! Did you have to stay in that time then? That's a long time to wait, think I will bring the Ipad with me lol xx

Yeah, i got there first, 2 others came after me. The 2nd went first, leaving us other 2 waiting and waiting. Luckily I went 2nd, the 3rd lady got sent home. I strongly recommend a book, ipad whatever, although I will be nervous chatting to you, if thats ok ?

You're younger than me, maybe I could give you my experiences.

Definitely will be bringing a book and ipad in that case. Always hate hospitals.Yeah of course, that would be great 🙂. They seem very good here at treliske in terms of care and endo understanding to be honest! I lived in Kent and previously London and I've never recieved such good care. My name is Megan by the way 🙂 x

Hi Amy

Unfortunately the group are unable to run meetings at the moment, we are currently looking to recruit new volunteers to help lead the group. Hopefully we will have it all up and running again soon. Please sign up to the group mailing list and/or their FB group to be informed when the group starts meeting again. You can do this via their webpage endometriosis-uk.org/suppor.... The Facebook group is also a good way to connect to other people in your area with endometriosis.
