Laparoscopic belly button still not healed after 4 weeks

Had a laparoscopic nearly 4 weeks ago now and still leaking , been to see several nurses had a swab for infection came back normal just wondering when this will stop, have to wear a bandage on it all the time and now I can see what looks like a red bogey ( sorry for the gross information) I’m sure it’s not healed and still open anyone had any similar problems just seems to be going on forever now just want to draw a line under the whole thing 😪 x

Hiya I had this is not nice. The belly button is the worst. Try and let the air get into it as best you can when at home. Clean it with some salt water and hopefully clear up. I dried mine gently with a cotton bud. The belly button is quite a moist place.

Thanks for your reply , tryed to get in to get it checked with doctor nothing for 2 weeks 🙄.. how long did yours last for ? X

Was about 6 weeks till it was fully healed. I kept a dressing on if I was going out or wearing clothes but if I was in my pyjamas I would just let the air in at it. I've had 4 key hole surgerys each using the belly button. The last one I had 5 weeks ago healed in no time but the Incision was right inside my belly button. Hopefully it heals soon if not phone for an on the day appointment x
