Is it normal to have blood in your urine?

When on a period & going for a pee, the toilet is bright red with blood and quite a lot of it too.

Is this a sign of Endometriosis?

The chances are it is period blood- However if you have a tampon in and the blood is definitely in urine, ie coming from the bladder you should get it checked. It can be a sign of endo but also of other issues. Last weekend I passed a massive amount of blood/clots/tissue from my bladder, and I have to go for scans and a cystoscopy. So if you believe you have blood in your urine please get it checked xxx

I get that now after my lap - periods are much better. Seeing bloody wee is a bit off but I asked family members who don’t have endo and they get it. I think it’s normal ?x

When I had a period it used to look like a murder scene when I went for a wee 😂😂 that's totally normal. If however when you aren't on you period and there's blood in the pee go to the docs!!

when I have my period and just use pads, then yes when I wee there's lots of blood but when I put a tampon in and wee the period stuff doesn't come out, therefore I know it's not from my bladder. There shouldn't be any blood in your wee. My periods on pads tend to just flow out, or when gravity is there like standing up - it kind of gushes sorry if tmi, especially when going for a wee or pushing a no 2.

See if you can do something similar like having a tampon in or some tissue just to check your wee isn't bright red - there may be a pink tinge as the normal coloured wee has to pass through your labia to come out and some dried period may be there (sorry tmi again!) - we all try to be clean during this time but it's often very difficult to get rid of it all. It's why when you give the docs a urine sample they'll ask if you're on your period so they aren't alarmed by some period blood.
