I've heard that the ketogenic diet is the best for improving Endo and reducing inflammation. It's low carb, moderate protein and high in good fats (nuts, avocado, oily fish etc.). Worth a Google.

I always found that alcohol made my symptoms worse, so although I was never a big drinker, stopped altogether.

Hope you find something that works for you. X

I've had every possible endometriosis treatment and multiple operations, hysterectomy years ago etc. Treatment is ongoing.

I didn't think there was any diet that could help but early this year I had a horrible gut infection that antibiotics wouldn't shift. Eventually my doctor suggested trying a low fodmap diet. I also cut out all sugar and alcohol, those two temporarily, they aren't part of the low fodmap diet

It has really helped me but is extremely difficult (every label has to be read) to follow the diet. There isn't that much you can eat. I discovered I'm intolerant to all sorts of things I never suspected, e.g. I now have to buy lactose free dairy products- very nice in fact. I can't have wheat, barley, rye. There are quite a few fruits and vegetables I can't tolerate.

I now have very small amounts of sugar and alcohol, not much though.

It has made a definite difference to my horrible digestive and bowel symptoms caused by having endometriosis but it takes real commitment. My digestive symptoms were so severe it's been relatively easy as I've not enjoyed my food for many years anyway. Now I often feel hungry! I have to eat very little and often as well, no choice or I can suffer.

I hope this might help you. If you Google low fodmap diet, there is a lot of information out there. Morag

I noticed a difference after cutting down caffeine and alcohol and now really notice an exacerbation of symptoms if I have too much of these. I have also drastically cut down on red meat which I think has helped - again i really notice it if i have a few weeks where I'm eating a lot of meat or processed food, symptoms are definitely worse.
