Hi everyone, I’ve recently been diagnosed after a laparoscopy to remove a cyst on my ovary. I’m 44 and have 2 children so wondering what will happen next. They took most of the endometrial tissue away however I have a endometrial tissue invading my bowel! Very worrying.

Hello,

I have had a similar thing, they discovered bowel endometriosis during my laparoscopy. Your doctors should refer you for an MRI (or some sort of diagnostic procedure) and then provide a follow up for you to see a specialist with the relevant department. My follow up is in 2 weeks (2.5 months after my original procedure).

Even if we decide to not have another surgery, your hospital should provide you with the information of what is happening in your body.

If they have not talked to you about this, or arranged any appointments, call up your hospital and try to see what their plan is.
