Hello everyone I’m 18 and I had a copper coil fitted almost 2 years ago the pain was unbearable when I first got it done but the doctor said periods will be painful at first but get better a year later after having it fitted I still get awful pains and since last October my period has been lasting for almost a week (maybe more) I get the worst pain in my pelvic area and it shoots down my leg also I need the toilet more regularly for a wee and someone’s for a number 2 , which most the time during my period are not that hard. I also get back pains, the doctor has mentioned endometriosis as s possibility, could it just be the copper coil causing me all this pain or could it be worse than that?

Hi I don’t have the coil but have Endo and Adenomyosis which makes me pee a lot! I can go and need 5 minutes later, it’s insane. I often suffer with diarrhoea during my period and can bleed for up to 2 weeks. Leg pain too. It’s a possibility you have Endo. Have they discussed what they are going to do to help you/find out the cause? x
