Suspected Endo

Well this is all new to me but after the most awful few months my doctor has referred me for a scan to see if I have endo. All symptoms are suggesting it although after having had 2 children and breastfeeding for a total of 3 years I kinda thought the first few periods would be bad but never this bad! I've never ever had pain like it, after getting to 7cm dilation & 2 emergency sections too, this is by far the worse pain I've ever ever had! Fingers crossed for the scan to be sooner rather than later so I can hopefully be diagnosed with what is wrong with me and treatment can commence because this pain is nothing short of horrific!

Hello. Im glad your Dr has listened and is referring you. I'm assuming it's for an ultrasound so that your aware a clear ultrasound does not mean its not endo it only really picks up cysts etc not the endo. So if it does come back clear ask to be referred to a gynecologist, ideally you want someone with an interest in endometriosis, you can google to find local ones in your area if you search for BSGE. Any questions you have, just post them here and all the helpful ladies will answer what they can for you.

Thank you so much, that's really helpful! my doctor mentioned a scan which involves a camera internally. Hopefully won't be too long now. X
