Hi ,

I have been diagnosed with stage 4 endo in bowel and ovaries stuck to uterus.I had endometriosis diagnostic laparoscopy and cystoscopy on Monday 6/8.

Today on 5th day post surgery I am having high fever with severe chills .

Any suggestions what to do , do I go to A&E ? My operation was done in private clinic and I am unable to reach them now.

Hi lovely. I had my lap done on Tuesday and I’m not feeling like this. I would phone 111 for some advice, better just phoning to see what they say. They might send you up to A&E. Hope you’re feeling okay soon my lovely.

Hi, today I experienced the exact same. I had my lap on Monday and they burned off endo near my bowel. Today I had my first bowel movement at around 1pm, which was fine. Then an hour later, I started getting severe stomach ache about every ten minutes, with nausea, hot flushes, chills, and sweating. The stomach ache lasts for about 10 seconds before it subsides again. I rang 111 and they advised I go to A&E. As I was getting ready to go, I went to the toilet and had another bowel movement, and since then I've felt fine. I think there must have been a blockage in my bowel or something, but I've not had the pain or fever since.

I hope my experience helps. Let me know how you get on x

Hey,

I had the same happen to me after my op, I would advise you call 111 or the gyno ward as I was re admitted with an abscess and had to go back into surgery.

Hope this helps xx

I would go to A&E as if you have a temp above 38 that is consistent or doesn’t improve with paracetamol then you most probably have an infection. Your very soon post op so high risk.

Best wishes xx

Thanks everyone for helpful suggestions, I have finally managed to get hold of nurse who is checking with doctor .

A&E waiting times in our area are horrible which put me off last night from going there.
