Hey sorry if tmi.

Its a day after my op and im usually regular with bowel movements like every morning, ive been told it could hurt, dreading it.

I feel like i need to go but dont want to push. Hospital have given me senna to help movement.

Any advice / suggestions? I dont want to be in pain on the toilet or in pain holding it.

Hey Farahziya,

I am sorry to hear you are suffering.

The best thing to do is to speak to your GP, consultant or practice nurse. Do you have an endometriosis nurse you could contact at all? I had my excision surgery in March and it took a good 5 days before I could go to the loo (but I did make a panicked phone call to my Dr after a couple of days of not being able to go). I took stool softeners and drank prune juice.

I hope you are able to get some advice from a health professional soon and feel reassured.

Best wishes and hope you recover well from your surgery.
