Hi I'm new here. Just received my first injection of decapeptyl injections to start menopause and started hrt add back as well. To have injections monthly. I've been working so hard to lose weight though and I'm terrified I'm going to blow back up. How common is weight gain? Can anyone offer any advise at keeping it off? I'm currently on sw and I calorie count as well.
Also can anyone advise of any other common side effects? I basically feel like I didn't get to ask the doctor any questions before I had received the injection and had been given a repeat prescription.

You can find the manufacturer’s guidance (including all known side effects) here on a website called Medicines.org.uk. It is the official website detailing all UK licensed drugs.
The SmPC sheet has more detailed guidance than the Patient Leaflet, but you can find both here. Obviously these guidance sheets list far far more side effects than most patients suffer, but I find it’s always useful to have a read (and my partner now usually does too) when I’m prescribed something so that if I start to feel a bit off I can check my new symptoms against my treatment’s known side effects and then I can show the guidance to my GP/Specialist if I have any concerns.
Also, from your message I’m not sure if anyone explained that you get a “flare effect” when you start GnRH Analogue (Decapeptyl) treatment? In the first 4-6 weeks your Endo symptoms can all flare up and get worse before the drug is able to override your hormone production and suppress your Endo. So it’s always worth bearing that in mind in the early stages of treatment.
Sadly this kind of treatment can cause weight gain and make it a bit harder to lose weight too. Sadly only way I could try and counteract this was to exercise more and really watch what I ate. Your GP surgery might have a dietician who could help advise?
