Adenomyosis 33years old- symptoms?!

Hey ladies,

Really interested in hearing from anyone who suffers from Adenomyosis and Endo.

I have had 3 Laparoscopies now for grade 4 endo and had my most recent in January of this year.

I had my gorgeous little boy in 2016 who is now 20 months old.

If I’m honest I am really struggling and would like to know from anyone if they experience any of the same symptoms....

Chronic wind and bloating,

Horrendous wind cramps and trouble passing gas or going to the toilet.

Horrendous bloating after eating ANYTHING!

Honestly, it is really beginning to effect my job.

I had some endo removed from my bowel in January which helped with passing a BM during my period but I seem to have gone full circle again and my Gynae has told me I have Adenomyosis.

The wind and bloating is so bad that I have to leave meetings at work due to the embarrassment of the noises my tummy makes not to mention how much discomfort I am in.

My periods quite frankly are something else. The clotting is unbearable and the blood loss is chronic.

I am due an US scan in the next couple of weeks and my Gynae has discussed a hysterectomy. At this time I would like the option to have another child (even though it may not happen due to my fertility issues)

Please can anyone tell me about their own experiences with this? Are these symptoms normal? How on earth do you manage? I’ve tried restricting my diet, cutting daily and gluten but even that isn’t helping at all.

Has anyone had a hysterectomy. Does it help with the symptoms as I just can’t continue on like this 😢😢😢xx

I am 41 diagnosed with adenomyosis. I do have all the symptoms you describe as far as feeling a lot of discomfort related to bloating and heavy bleeding, clots, anemia. But on top of this, I also have very severe pelvic pain for about 3-4 days right after my period ends.. do you have this?

You are very lucky to have a healthy child, I had 5 misscarriages and it doesn’t look like I am ever going to have kids... I an planing a hysterectomy this year.

Taking probiotics and oregano oil helped me with bloating. You may want to try.

I wonder if this is what I am experiencing. I have a lot of toilet related pain, horrendous pains when I need to go to the toilet (bm) and very sharp alarming period pains which have been just before ovulation about a week after my period.

Please don’t give up hope. I have a septate uterus and was told we would not have a healthy pregnancy. I too have suffered miscarriage and it took us years of investigations and loss of hope (even ivf being declined) before we fell pregnant. I am very blessed to have my son and I will always be grateful. Please don’t lose hope x
