Has anyone been told by their doctor that endometriosis can affect their egg quality?

I haven't been told this but I do wonder if my molar pregnancy was related to endometriosis. I think there is very little research on this. I also have had 3 healthy pregnancies. Xx

Yes me. I have had 2 ivf attempts and both ended in mc. They were NHS funded and I always questioned my egg quality as I always responded well but only had 1 5 day blast from each cycle, none to freeze. They always just put that down to luck but after doing a lot of research we have now went private and it was the 1st words out the consultants mouth. We were ready to try again going private but they have recommended DHEA to take for the next 3 months before we try again. My Endo was on my ovary and tube. He said the Endo was eating away at my egg reserve and they effects the quality. I also had surgery to have it removed which also reduces egg reserves so have a think before doing this. My symptoms meant I had no choice and I feel so much better but my egg reserve has almost halved x

Thank you for the reply. Myself I had done 2 ivf and both ivf failed. Both ivf I had day 3 transfer bcos my egg quality was poor. First ivf cycle in 2016, I had 3 eggs collected on the right ovary as my left ovary was inaccessible ( left ovary was stuck on my bowel). Only 2 fertilised and only one was good to be transferred. So after my first failed ivf cycle, I went for surgery in November 2017, I had adhesiolysis, bilateral salpingectomy, laparoscopy). I went back this year and I had my 2nd ivf cycle and the outcome was the same day 3 transfer no embryo to freeze. I did asked my doctor if my endometriosis is affecting my egg quality she thinks it’s not. As I got 2 auto immune diseases she thinks my egg quality is being affected due to this. But when I ask my rheumatologist, he said no. But I think is my endometriosis who causing my poor egg quality. I’m going to change clinic and see what the other clinic say. Are you under the care of a BSGE accredited endometriosis centre? If yes, did they give you any medication to calm down your endometriosis before trying for another ivf cycle? I’m trying DHEA also. Which ivf clinic are you with if you don’t me asking?
