So I had my lap Thursday and gynaecologist called me Friday to say no endo was found, he sent me home with my lap pictures and that was that, I posted a few of my lap pics to online forums and quite a few people said my uterus doesn’t look too good and could possibly be adenomyosis, I researched adenomyosis and my symptoms now all make sense and add up, so my question is now where do I go from here? Do I go back to my gp and plead to referred to a new gynaecologist?

If you believe that your surgeon has missed something then it's best to see your GP and get another referral see a gynaecologist again and see what they suggest. x
Hi! I also have adenomyosis. My symptoms include sharp severe pain, but only if I have my period. I strongly believe that if I never have periods I should be 100% ok. I was taking charozette but was having prolonged spotting (no pains). However, was developing functional cyst. Now I'm on mycroginon 30 which is a combined pill, taking it back to back but started a full scale period in the middle of the second pack, with severe pains. As I understood, what causes pain (for us with adeno) is the fact that endo cells within uteral wall bleed and the blood irritates the muscle. Also when the womb contracts to shed the lining, this hurts even more because of endo cells in the muscle tissue. I'm going to ask my GP to change the pill or increase progesterone, anything to stop my periods all together.
Hi I also have adenomyosis, am 46 so having hysterectomy as is extensive. My uterus has been described as bulky/boggy!!! Is also arcate (heart shaped). The adenomyosis wasn't diagnosed at lap although signs were noted. My consultant asked for MRI which confirmed suspicions. Adenomyosis only definitely diagnosed if removed, whiz for me is hysterectomy.
