Mirena coil and headaches.

Ever since having the Mirena coil . I get horrendous stabbing headaches ... is this normal ? 😞

I’ve found that since having the mirena, I’ve been getting horrendous headaches as well and a lot more regularly than I used to get them. I suffer with headaches anyway, but I think it’s the mirena that made it worse. I don’t know if it’s ‘normal’ as such, but just know that you’re not the only one

Thinking of maybe getting it taken out but I'm in 2 'minds xxx

it is likely due to the change in hormones; I suffer with migraines and they flare up the week before my period - the mirena is releasing a hormone so it could be this xx

Yes same here! I'm worried that whst if these headaches are dangerous I feel so helpless because everyone is sick of my moaning I can't speak to my family or friends x

if you're worried or the head pain gets worse maybe speak to NHS 111 x
