Have you got any anti inflammatories?

If I were you, I’d use an online gp service if you can’t see your own, and get a prescription for the ones that go up your bum, if you can have those.

Hope you’re feeling better soon xx

Hi thank you for your advice. In the end I rang the hospital and they prescribed some Diclofenac and advised me to apply an ice pack to the area every 20 mintutes. This seemed to work and then tonight they seem to be swelling again! Bearing in mind the operation was. It vaginal I don't know why I am so bruised down there it's literally purple all over! I will ask them to check me when I have my wound check on Thursday. Thank you for your advice JellyKat and Farahziya. I let you know what they say!

Thank you JellyKat. My consultant said it was very unusual and to go in yesterday but I couldn't get in due to pain so I am (snow dependant) hoping to see him tomorrow! The swelling is so much better but best to be checked. Thank you so much for hearing my call for help! X

Well, you’ll not run out of ice then... 😒

Seriously though- hope it gets sorted ASAP! x

See if you can get an appointment with your gp or out of hours and they may be able to give you creams / tablets to help the swelling and make it more comfortable. Most over the counter stuff says not for intimate use so be careful about those. Vagisil (if you can find it) contains a light anaesthetic that can be used for those areas and may help give you some pain relief.
