I’m looking for a bit of advice if possible as I’m unsure on whether to get a second opinion or not.
Basically, I have stage 4 endo and in october 2017 I had an ultrasound scan which confirmed that an Endometrioma cyst on my left ovary that had been drained last April had refilled to 5.7cm (the previous was 12cm). Me and my partner are wanting to try for a baby this year and I have recently had an appointment with my consultant to discuss this. She has advised me to just deal with the pain of the cyst and endometriosis and to still try for a baby as she advises the cyst will not affect this.
My concern is that it has been four months since my scan and I have no clue if the cyst has potentially grown or how fast it will grow in the months where we are trying to conceive, but she does not want to operate again as understandably there is the risk of damaging the ovary, I am also worried about the cyst rupturing if it gets too big. I am also in constant pain and have recently been bleeding quite a bit despite still being on the depo injection until my next one is due which I intend to not continue.
Any advice is appreciated xxx

Hi, I have been told exactly the same and have a cyst on my left ovary. To me I found it weird as I thought they would have to drain it before having a baby but if you have been told the same then I guess they are right in what they are saying. I have had two operations for endometriosis over the past 6 years and have been told my left ovary is stuck to me bowel and that I will need IVF to have a baby. Try not to worry and I hope you get pregnant soon, sorry I can't offer you any advice I just wanted you to know you are not alone x x
Hi Sazle, thank you for responding! To be honest it is really reassuring to know that someone else has been told the same as me in this situation which makes me feel a lot more comfortable about it. I’ll see how it goes and keep my fingers crossed for you too in the future. If you ever need to chat just drop me a message thanks again! Xxx
