Livial endometriosis recurrnece

Hi there . I am just postmenopausal and have been put into livial. I feel my endometriosis coming back which is making me miserable.

The doctor says it won’t be the Livial . Has anyone else found livial made their Endo come back?

Hi Penny,

I’m sorry you are feeling lousy. I can’t offer you any advice, other than to say that what your doctor is saying is right- it won’t be the Livial that is making you endo come back, the drugs just doesn’t work like that. There are lots of other HRT drugs available though so maybe you need to try something else? Personally, whilst the Livial helped a little, I have had much better results with both kliovance and kliofem. I really hope you feel a bit better soon.

Thank you so much for replying! I was on progesterone only for 4 years which fixed my hot flushes. I wonder if the Livial does not have the suppressing affect that the progesterone has . I read about a 57 year old woman who had hysterectomy and ovaries out and still the endo

Was active and so they gave her a drug called an aromate inhibitor that fixed her. The article said some Endo makes its own oestrogen. Anyway I stopped Livia yesterday and tuck myself back on my friend the protesters one and am hoping for some relief!! When I read these posts I just realise what a nasty disease this is!!!
