Struggling with stage 4 Endo

So I’ve known I’ve had endo for a few years. Early this year discovered it was a lot more severe than first thought. I’ve been on menopause inducing injections and now the contraceptive pill to suppress it. The pill isn’t working. I’ve been having regular periods since I’ve been on it. My next gynae app isn’t until Feb. I’ve put on weight. My mood is awful. Feel severely low and overwhelmed. Can’t seem to take control of my life! Work full time, have a beautiful 9 year old and a wonderful partner but am struggling mentally as well as physically to cope! I’m only 29. I feel like I’m 60, haggard and worn out. Can’t find the motivation and energy to work or and eat healthy even though I know how important it is. Am I alone in the struggle? How can I get a grip?!

You’re definitely not alone in this! I had unexpected weight gain when my endo started. After excision and finally finding a pill to help, I’ve been able to lose weight.

I’ve struggled with low mood and feeling overwhelmed most of my life. It can be very frustrating. I’m only 21 and I feel old too 😅

It can be hard to motivate yourself when you’re so low on energy. I’ve found talking it out and trying to help others actually helps me immensely. I try to reach out to as many people as I can on here in hopes to help, even if it’s a small bit.

I do my best to eat more healthy things than unhealthy things. I also take my dog for a walk every morning (though I haven’t been able to this past month or so due to surgery and such.) It surprisingly gave me an energy boost and eased some of my abdominal pain as walking, even a tiny bit, can help relax the abdominal muscles.

But what works for me may not work for you. It’s like some tricky formula you have to figure out. It’s hard and tiring. I hope you can find what works for you soon.

I’m sorry to hear your troubles and to reassure you tour not on your own. I’m a lot older than you (40) but I’m really struggling at the mo. Each day is an effort to get out of bed mentally & physically. I’ve pilled on weight and can’t motivate to eat very well. I’m hoping they will let me have a hysterectomy next year, seeing specialist in Jan.

When they put me on the pill I was back to back ie I didn’t stop for a period. The reason why is every period causes Endo to bleed but also more to develop!

Never forget there are plenty of us there to support you and share experiences. Whenever I feel I can’t carry on I pop something on here and there’s always someone to give me courage.

Good luck and best wishes x
