Been visiting the GP for approx. 18 months to discuss issues with my periods, pain and flow. In addition 2 years ago I had appendicitis and whilst removing the appendix they found and removed endometriosis.

I've been referred for an ultrasound scan and nothing noticeable was found (although we were aware that it was unlikely to show endometriosis if it was present). At my recent visit to the GP the discussion was not what I had expected. High potential it is endometriosis as its been present before but the only advice is simply that I need to go on the contraceptive pill to manage symptoms. No further investigation unless this doesn't work and/or when we try for a baby and if we are not able to fall pregnant.

I feel massively let down by this and as though masking the symptoms rather than finding the cause is the solution (in the view of the GP) . I am a little sensitive to this for a number of reasons but primarily in relation to getting pregnant. Is anything else I could do now?
