Have you had a BM since your lap yet? It may possibly be that. I remember being very nauseous and had a headache due to the anesthesia leaving my body(which takes a while.)
Do your best to stay calm, as it seems pretty normal. But if you are worried I would definitely get in contact with your GP or anyone you can get ahold of.
Do these symptoms feel like when you had a clot? And by clot do you mean a blood clot or is it period related?
I mean a blood clot when on period. I had one once the size of a golf ball and it did feel like this but didn’t last as long.
I just don’t know, it’s not got better or passing. My head feels like it’s going to explode. I’m cold, and I have numb legs when I wake up. I can feel them but also not feel them at the same time.
Not having a BM and the fact that everything is slowed down from anesthesia for a few days and the trauma from surgery could be part of the reason it is taking so long to pass. It could also contribute to it feeling stuck, since everything inside basically came to a halt for a while. It may take a while for all the muscles to get moving again. It took me a while for mine to get going.
Have you tried anything for your headache?
The numbness in the legs could be residual effects from the position we have to be placed in during surgery. It can irritate the nerves in the legs. It could also be the position you are sleeping in. Or it could be the medication you may be taking for surgical pain (narcotics can make you feel that way!)
It could all just be from the surgery and the fact that your period is going to(or at least should) be starting soon. You may be trying to pass a clot but everything is too relaxed to get it out as quick as the last one. Try to not freak yourself out because surgery has all kinds of weird effects on people.
If you are really scared, I’d recommend trying to get in contact with your surgeon or someone in the medical field to be sure you are not showing symptoms of something serious. What you are describing doesn’t sound too unusual, though.
I know it’s hard but do your best to keep calm as being very worried can make things worse.
Are your periods normally like clockwork? It could just be delays and your body has just experienced a trauma with all the jabbing and poking around. Keep hydrated it’ll help with the headache and when you do bleed with prevent dehydration and also help bring along your BM, the leg pain is to do with them having you up in the stirrups, my legs killed for a week! Can also have something to do with the compression stockings apparently, as for the nausea, drink some peppermint tea, and stay calm, you’ll only feel worse if you panic! If it gets really bad phone 111 or the hospital should’ve given you a 24 hour contact number, even if you just need to phone them to put your mind at ease x
Ah that's brilliant. I've only just read this thread and I know how scary it can be post-surgery. If it does set in again do check in with the surgeon/nurse. I think there are so many post-op effects they can't warn you about them all as everyone is different. Re period - last surgery mine came early 2 days post-op, the time before I felt like it was coming but I actually missed a period that month. Your poor body has been through quite a trauma so it can be all over the place for a while. If headaches kick in again maybe try paracetamol. I know paracetamol sounds laughable when you're dealing with Endo but when I was on tramadol, codeine and ibuprofen for Endo I'd get headaches (prob from the bloody codeine). Drinking lots of water and taking paracetamol took the edge off the headache. Xx
