Hi ladies so it's been a week since gynaecologist suspected endo and the nurse put that giant needle in my unexpecting little belly!... I've had migraines and the pain during sex makes me cry as normal... pains shooting here there and every where as normal, feels like my right ovary is going to snap off every time I stand up... as normal... just wondering... for yous that started zoladex before laparoscopy how long before yous had "the last period before symptoms kick in" while on treatment? Also how long till these things start to work for pain? Do they always work for pain or am I going to get another "we don't know what's wrong" diagnosis before they even do lap?! 🤔

The best way to take the needle is get the nurse to lift and grab up the skin then when you ready say now pinch the skin hard please so it hurts at the same time as she hurts, holds the skin she put the needle in then your in control and you won't feel the needle just the pinch which you control the pressure of. Hope that makes it easier.
I don't have Endo but they don't know what's wrong with me. My normal cycle was one day in during my 7 day period vomiting, plus migraines and crippling cramps almost every month.
I've been on Zoladex for 5.5 months now with no hrt and am feeling great!
After my first injection, I got my period and it was longer and more nausea than usual (12 days of bleeding and threw up twice).
After my second injection my periods stopped but hot flushes, night sweats and vaginal dryness started. I also had 3 day of diarrhea and a day of vomiting which I panicked about and thought maybe it was instead of my period because it happened when my period was due. In retrospect it was probably a stomach bug...
It took me about 4 months to accept and get used to the zoladex side effects including my current sex drive of 0. My partner has been very supportive but the sex drive thing was an issue for me because I wasn't expecting it to decrease to 0. I have now accepted it and to be honest, no period is worth no sex drive IMO. I can now go on holiday without worrying about being stuck in the hotel room or throwing up on the plane....
Zoladex has been the best thing I've tried so far (previously tried Diane, microgynon 30 and 20, ponstan + cyclcokapron, implanon, mirena)
