New endo diagnosis - please help!

Hi everyone,

This is my first post and I’m desperate for some advice.

I had a diagnostic lap on the 11th of October, during this time endometriosis was found under my Fallopian tubes and on one of my ovaries. I was advised this was now removed, but not much else was said!

Since surgery I have been eating normally, but haven’t had any sort of bowel movement. I’m now going in to the 12th day post op and am really suffering from bloating and severe headaches (I’m guessing due to being constipated).

So far. I’ve had two stool softener tablets, as well as 8 separate doses of Lactulose - still nothing!!

I’m not sure wether this is a normal complication or if I should phone the hospital tomorrow.

Sorry for the long post, I know the users of this site are very helpful so I would appreciate any information or advice!

Thanks in advance, J x

I would go in if its that long, it can become dangerous. You may need glycerine or an enema if you have impacted stools. I did after my excision surgery. Then i took lactulose religiously for about 3 or 4 weeks till i was sure I'd settled into routine again. Big hugs xx
