When to take my medroxyprogesterone acetate pill?

I am an endometrioma patients... So i am dealing with hormones problem. My previous appointment with doctor, he advice me to take my pill. Take one pill per each day. He gave me 5 pills that where I supposed to start taking that on my first period. For your information, today is my first period, but I couldn't say it's period too because it's almost like a spotting only. And i am expect it's will be heavier tonight..and maybe tomorrow. Perhaps. So now o am confused whether to take the meds now.. Or just start to eat it tomorrow, as my period right now do not heavy. Anyone have the same experience as me.. Who already consume this kind of hormones pills.. Please help me..
