It might of changed now but I asked my doctor if I could receive my care at St Mary's Paddington as I knew people that have been under there care and couldn't speak highly of them

It's good to have feedback, even if it isn't good!

Did they not tell you they were going into your bladder? Oh just saw it was an accident, my god, how awful!

I'm glad you have had better care elsewhere. I'm worried about going further afield, if I need an op and to stay in, family won't be able to get to me, and coming home will be trickier.

My head is ringing with ifs and ands!

I am under the care of queen charlotte hospital, they decided not to do any surgery as there is to much endo so they are trying to manage it...

Do they really do this, if you have too much?

rajsam profile image

they told me that surgery would be risky, so they have given me decapeptyl injections and now the mirena coil, my hair s falling, ive developed severe anxiety, im always shaking... personally i dont think the coil is agreeing with me.

No, I would get in touch ASAP if you are always shaking too, get onto them. I've had a few friends where it doesn't agree with them too.

We did, the doctor emailed us and said that think it not the coil causing the problems, probably the injections.

ive been signed off work for the past 6 weeks, this is the worst I have ever felt.

I have stopped the injections the beginning of july.

How did your friends react to the coil?

If you've been like this since July, go in, demand to be seen, it's not right you feel this way.

One friend had hairloss, another constant pain, another one was allergic to it I think.

Yes same thing happened to me at Newham hospital when they did my lap. They said the endo was too friable and too close to the bowel they didn't want to risk damaging my bowel.

rosesinbloom in reply tosanchia46

I'm worried they may say the same to me, but I don't think I can manage with this pain or more for years. Is there nothing to be done if it's too large?

Well see what they. I then went to another endo centre and they did offer to do an op, but it would've have been a major op and still risky so I declined. It's a personal choice.

Really interesting to see there are quite a number of us all in the same areas.

Hi ladies. I'm under whipps cross and can say, so far, it's all been a good experience. I had my lap just over 2 weeks ago and apart from waiting a few hours to go down for surgery, they was lovely on the day ward and everything went fine. My incisions are really neat, once I fully heal you won't notice them at all. I've now been referred to an endo consultant (assume this will be at whipps too as they are an endo centre) so waiting for that appointment. Feel free to message me if you have any questions/worries xx

My replies keep disappearing! I replied here and now it's gone...

Thank you for this, it's good to hear it went well and that the incisions were neat too, I know it's silly, but it's another thing I do worry about.

Also good to hear they took good care of you on the ward, that's always reassuring. It sounds like they were good.

Did you have any removed, or was it just for diagnosis?

Did you have to stay overnight?

It was just for diagnosis, I think my endo was too severe for them to remove any (stage 3/4) so that's why I'm now being referred to a specialist. I had to be at the DAY centre for about 12:30. I didn't actually go down for surgery till 3:30pm. I finally got back on the day bleats just after 6:30pm and was allowed to go home at 8:00pm. They give you tea/coffee, ginger biscuits and a sandwich. I just managed one biscuit, needed the tea to help that go down🙈 A tiny bit of sandwich then I was sick. But they really looked after me. On your letter it says you can't have someone stay with you, but my husband sat on the ward with me until I went down and then was with me once I got back from surgery. Let me know if I can be of any more help x

Thanks for this, it's all helpful. I'm not sure what's going to happen with me, as they already know I have it through the cyst showing up on the scan, so I'm unsure what will happen. I hate waiting now, I just want to know really.
