Sorry for the double post! I've seen some comments from people who have endometriosis of the ureter and I'm just wondering how this is found? Are the ureters checked during a laproscopy? I'm only ask as I have hydronephrosis in my right kidney and kidney pain but and no understanding as to why! (IE stones etc)

Does a laproscopy check the ureters?
I had CT scan first. it shown there was ureter problem. Then I had MRI scan for this and also diagnostic laparoscopy. Only an Endometriosis specialist can check and deal with ureretric endometriosis.
Okay thank you! I've had hydronephrosis for around 16 months or so, pain in my kidney. Urology was ruled out after a cystoscopy and I've not really had an answer!
Did you have a CT scan. With urerteric endometriosis the ureter will be very enlarged like a blocked pipe! So it is obviously wrong. My urologist checked the urerter from inside and is normal. Hence the problem is from the outside. He referred me to the gynaecologist to check.
However, this condition is extremely uncommon only effecting 1 in 100,000 women. You need to pestering the urologist for answers.
Best of luck.
