Would love some advice RE treatment! Was diagnosed with endo/adeno about 6 months ago thru a laparoscopy. Surgeon decided to leave what was there there and inserted a Mirena. Since then I've had intense pain and non stop bleeding for 6 months. Have tried supplementing with oral hormones and have used the pill before with no help. What do people recommend for treatment? I've been referred to a chronic pain service who wasn't much help, and am struggling to see what possible treatments there could be! I'm only 18, and a full time student with sporting and shool commitments, and the intense pain that can strike at any time, coupled with vommiting and nausea is making these things so much harder.

Thank you all in advance 💜

Did they give you any idea of staging or tell you exactly where the disease is located? If the gynae who diagnosed you felt that your disease was beyond their skill level to treat then they should have referred you on to a bsge centre for more specialised treatment. Your GP can refer you on. The list is here: bsge.org.uk/centre/

They are mostly NHS and it is worth making the effort to go even if you have to travel.

You need to read the post-lap surgical findings to establish why they didn't remove it. You could discuss this with your G.P and if you want it removed, ask for a referral to an endo. specialist.

I rejected birth control as a treatment option because I don't like putting anything unnatural in my body. I follow the endometriosis diet and take supplements to reduce the inflammation, balance my pH levels, and heal scar tissue. This eradicated the pain, reduced the fatigue and allowed me to get back into fitness. I hadn't been able to exercise for nearly a year prior to this diet. It changed my life.

There are numerous dietary resources out there. Try endo-resolved.com

You'll need to quit things like sugar, dairy, gluten, alcohol, red meat, and soy and reduce toxicity as much as possible.

The supplements I take are:

Pharma Nord Multivitamin & Minerals

Pharma Nord Selenium & Zinc

Nordic Naturals Ultimate Omega

B-Complex

I also take Pharma Nord MSM/Silica sometimes, too. These supplements don't contain soy. Do check the ingredients list on any supplements you take.

Kimberly Snyder's Glowing Green Smoothie recipe is amazing, but you must use organic produce.

You'll find it most beneficial to switch to a fully organic diet.

There are lots of amazing gluten-free options out there and as long as you have replacements for bread, pasta, etc. in the cupboard, you won't feel like you're missing out.

Hope this helps you as much as it helped me. x
