Hi Danielle. Sorry to hear what you have been going through, it sounds awful. I too have been experiencing similar pain in my ovaries, with extremely heavy bleeding, with clots. I got pregnant with the coil 3 years ago and was advised to leave it in whilst the pregnancy progressed, as I decided to keep the baby. After a few weeks I began to bleed and suffer from severe pain like a period pain. I went straight to hospital, but the plug was still firmly in place, and the baby was fine. After this the pain became much worse, but the doctors' couldn't get the coil out, and the bleeding was coming from me. It had become trapped in my cervix and I was given co-codamol, of which I took 8 per day, but they didn't touch the pain, and the bleeding was getting worse. One day at the hospital I begged them to try and take the coil out, and after trying with what I realised afterwards, was a huge pair of sharp scissors, the doctor stopped suddenly and said she couldn't retrieve it. On the way home, an hour afterwards, my waters broke, I was 13 weeks pregnant. I gave birth after a long painful labour on my own after going back to the hospital, in the early morning. Then I haemorrhaged so badly they had to take me to theatre. Afterwards they presented me with a perfectly formed, but tiny baby girl. It was so distressing, and I've never really come to terms with it. Since then I have been getting similar symptoms of someone who has endometriosis, and I'm under the gynae dept. When I explained what happened, they don't believe my heavy bleeding and pain symptoms have anything to do with the coil becoming stuck inside my body. I've been told I have adhesions by one professional, and then on the next visit that I don't by another. I feel so frustrated and I don't know where to turn. Thanks for listening and I would love to hear a bit more about you. Take care, Suzanne.
