Hiya everyone I found out I got endometriosis I'm only 24 and really scared about it I've had scans and they say everything normal does that mean it may not be that bad any advice please x

Hello I don't think scans are that reliable to say everything is normal. How were you diagnosed with endo?

Hello,

I was 24 when I was diagnosed and I remember feeling so lost and scared. Before I had a laparoscopy ( the only way to truly diagnose endometriosis) I had an ultrasound and they said everything looked normal, and when I had my diagnostic lap that wasn't the case. Scans unfortunately can't show you much in terms of this disease.

What has your consultant suggested for the next step?

As others have said the only true way to diagnose is laparoscopy. What are the next steps/plans for you?

In the meantime this forum is amazing and so helpful everyone is in the same boat and just talking to others who can sympathise is a huge boost at times.
