What is PVCS?

My recent laparoscopy findings has this down in the list on discharge letter as "? Left PVCS"

Can anyone help me - I have tried googling it, but had no luck + my Endo Nurse is away on holiday at the moment!

It could be pelvic vein congestion syndrome, but can't be sure. If it is that, its varicose veins in the lower abdomen that causes chronic pain I think. Sorry I couldn't be more help x

Thanks for your reply! I wondered if it might be that as I have seen it mentioned on here a couple of times.

If that is the case, do you know how they might treat this?

I think embolisation of the veins is sometimes done or further laprascopic surgery, but I think it will depend on what your surgeon found and how bad it is x

That makes sense then, as my discharge summary said UAE or Left Venous Embolization if not better, but must complete family first.
