Hi

I have severe pain every month and my pain killers no longer work. Does anyone use other methods to help contol the pain or use alternate medication.

At the moment I use my wheat bag and tens machine, when the pain is really bad these dont seem to touch it.

Any ideas ?

Iv tried so much pain meds and they hardly help my gp has referred me to pain clinic. I did my own research and came across serrepeptase and I got some I can honestly say this passed month has been my best in a very long time my pain is, minimal. I love heat pads but in this recent weather it's too much hope this helps xx

Iv recently gone to hospital and they gave morphine a couple times I can honestly say it doesn't do what I would have expected it to do. Research the serrepeptase honest it's been a life changer for me. It's all I talk about these days xxx

In all honesty, pain medication has caused me more trouble then good. Now I only take nortriptyline for bladder and some pelvic pain and does help with some 'pressure' feeling.

The biggest difference came from changing my diet and light exercise. Reducing foods that cause inflammation mainly. It also made me feel more relaxed and mentally better which reduced my stress - one of my biggest triggers!

But there are some of my pains where nothing works but I think when I eat, sleep and drink better I can cope with the pain better.

Also as above, my electric heat pad is my best friend!!

I went on a nerve pain medication called Endep. It's a very low dose and has helped with the burning and referred pain immensely.

I got Put on amitriptyline that's Aug when nothing else was working anymore. It shuts down the nerves in your pelvis area I think you take it at night and so far that was the only thing that really helped improve my symptoms xxxx

Due to endo and also suffering from nerve pain I've been on a mixture of pain mess, I've recently been put on a buprenorphine patch and duloxetine capsules and though the pain hasn't gone it has improved- im also having prostap injections.
