Yet another consultant...

I had a lap 7 months ago and was diagnosed with endo stage 3 (superficial - whatever that means because the pain is not superficial in the least). 5 minutes before my 2nd lap in March to remove the endo my surgeon (BSGE centre) changed his mind and thought it best that I try the Mirena again. I really didn't want to, but did this because I had lost faith in him (long story) and wanted to leave. So I did not have the lap and have not been better since having another Mirena. I went to see the GP and asked her to transfer me to another specialist for a second opinion. Received a letter last week with an appointment to go see a local consultant in one of the gp practices... ? I'm not sure what to think of this. I don't want another consultant and go through the whole process again - I want a specialist. Am I missing something? Or is this the normal procedure in the UK? I have seen 7 different consultants in 3 years. Loosing faith in the medical system....
