Long term norethistone

I've been on norethistone for 11 months now for problems. I've had absolutely no side effects or anything, I've been so lucky compared to some people, has anyone else had success with long term use?

I started in July, my side effects were swollen ankles but other than that compared to everything else I was on it was great. It's just 1 pill didn't do it for me for some odd reason so when I went to my gyno she said to take 2, 2 was way too much I got morning sickness and nausea so I took 1 1/2 and my pain went away as well as migraines it was amazing. Then mid febuary I got 2 burst ovarian cysts and ovulation symptoms, than 2 weeks later I got periods again.

I noticed a bit of hair growth but keep in mind I used to only have to shave once a month and my body hair just fell out. And now that the pills revulataing everything is falling out.

The first month I had horrible brain fog and some hair was falling out but I also have bum length hair so it could've been that, plus I thought I was growing a mustace but when I asked my mom she couldn't even see it even if she went all the way up to my face. I've also found in the time frame that I have to shave more, like once a week I'm hoping it goes back to a month. Plus my eyebrows look amazing.

I've also noticed whenever I up the dose my skin gets dry and I get wind and sun burn. Make sure to use sunscreeen all the time.

My heart rate is also up for no reason.

Have you experienced hair growth?

My friends and mom say I'm overreacting b/c shaving once a week is normal and my doctor says no concern.

Hi no I've not experienced any of this so I must be really lucky! I do get puffy ankles though. I'm on 3 tablets a day.

It must be because I'm really petite and underwieght and I had hair growth that was just not there when I wasn't on it.

I've also been told I metabolize really fast so my body might've adjusted too fast 😂

My gyno wants to put me on lupron next so I don't want to tell her I'm cycling.

I have taken them all the time since last May, 3 a day, they seem to have cleared my ibs symptoms up, no more sore boobs, not moody generally feel quite good on them. Only thinks ive had since December is bits of sporting or pink discharge most days. I am waiting for a polyp to he removed so consultant said it could be that or a slight erosion or breakthrough bleeds .

Oh wow you're also one of the lucky ones too then. I had a little brown discharge a couple of times but it never lasts long. I get puffy ankles at times but other than that I'm great. It's so good to hear some positive feedback as it's usually all negative.
