Im very nervous!

I had my first appt last month to discuss findings on an ultrasound, she asked loads of questions, then done a pelvic exam, booked me in for a laparoscopy and that was it xxxx
Thank you for your reply!!
Just out of interest, we're you offered alternatives such as hormone therapy before the lap? xxx
no, but I've already been on the mini pill for 9 months, my laps next month xxx
Hey,
At my first appointment she took page after page of all my symptoms, dates etc and asked a lot of questions about my health and medical history. It was basically an investigatory appointment for me.
She then discussed the things that could be causing my symptoms, for example Endo. She took some swabs to rule out pelvic infections and then advised me that i'd need to have an ultrasound scan done to rule out any cysts or fibroids etc.
I would suggest writing down a list of symptoms, dates, how you have been feeling so that you dont miss out anything important during the app. The consultant should then be able to better diagnose you.
Best of luck. :)xx
I had my first appointment on Monday, I was asked a couple of questions then after going through all of the possible implications of a laporoscopy he referred me for one. He did suggest trying to run my pill on for 3 months at a time but as I already do that he said a laporoscopy was my next option. Hope it goes okay.
Hey
I had mine 2 weeks ago, she went through all my medical history, symptoms, dates. Did an examination and took some swabs. I had the ultrasound done by my gp before they referred me to the gynae. As I've been on the pill and mini pill for 20 years and was on other meds to lighten and ease my periods for a few years before that, they want to exhaust all hormone treatment first so referred me back to my gp to try the mirena coil for 6 months first and if that doesn't help, then it'll be the lap. Good luck!
