Endos won

So I've written up my work notice today, as my doctor won't sign me back fit for work and my works keep pestering and moaning. Only thing I can think of is to quit :(

Anyone else been in similar situations?

If you are signed off by GP then they are not allowed to pester you. This is harassment, and you can take action against them. Give citizens a dive a call before you make a decision . Don't let them bully you this way.

Just keep telling me they'll have to review my job because I've had so much time off and keep ringing to ask when I'll be back

Hi they cannot pester and harass you whilst you are signed off work in fact they are not supposed to call you...as long as you ring in once every so often to keep them updated. If they are making it difficult for you then you should contact your hr department or citizens advice, you'll probably find its one or two individuals and not company policy. You need to concentrate on yourself and your own health not worry about ill-informed people! Do take some advice though to give you support at least x

Please give CAB a ring. Don't let them treat you like this. You deserve better. They are the ones in the wrong so don't you give up Hun. You are stronger than you think.

Just wanted to add hopefully some words of help. You and all of us fall under the Equality Act with a chronic health condition aka a disability too. So they have to make reasonable adjustments and can not be bullying you. Take a note of every call and email etc as it's discrimination. Don't quit but if you feel you don't want to go back whrn ready then put a grievance in for how they are treating you.

Speak to hr and state that you are unsure when you will be signed fit for work. Do it through official channels to show you are doing your bit.

Hope this helps

Thanks everybody. I've looked a bit more into and been told they can't do anything till I've had at least six months off. I won't be going back to them after their attitude but I'll stay under them until I've found something else. If I walk out I won't get any support. Thankyou all! Shame how some just don't know enough about endo and can still make you feel so little xx

Stay strong Hun. You will get through this. We are always here if you need to talk. Don't let anyone put you down or make you feel worthless, because you're not. If they had to deal with what we do they would soon realise how strong we are but also how much it takes from us, yet we still continue to fight.

Us endo sisters stick together and we've got your back Hun.

Take care sweetheart.

Thankyou so much! So easy to feel alone when none of your friends understand it. Means so much to have people like you for support! X

No problem Hun. I agree that it's hard when the people you know don't understand., but we do so you will never be alone in this.

Yeah of course that ok. I'm ok. Nervous I've got my cystoscopy tomorrow, then colonoscopy on 7th March. Just fed up of being in pain all the time.

One day at a time. Will get sorted eventually.

I've been having a lot of pain in bladder for nearly two years now. Urogynae suspects ic but I'm convinced it's endo. I have die to bowel constricting it but for the last two months I've had severe constant diarrhoea that is tarry in appearance, suggesting bleeding further up.

All I want is to be able to go normally like anyone else.

Had TAH and BSO last March. Six months later consultant said he hadn't touched the endo on bowels, so now I'm waiting for a second opinion.

When is your op?

It's such a pain isn't it. All these operations and you still come out with pain 😔

Within the next couple of months hopefully. There's an 18 week waiting list but I'm on the emergency list so can be called whenever. Seeing my gynae tomorrow just for a check up and to make sure everything on plan.

I get rectrum bleeding apparently my ovaries attached to my bowel

Is yours a day op? Good luck anyway.
