Hey guys! I'd just like some advice from people. I know everyone's different but I'm just unsure on what to do next.
It's been a long process (bearing in mind I'm only 21) but I was finally diagnosed with endo in December. It was bitter seeet of course; chuffed they'd finally found out what was wrong with me, but gutted that it is what it is. The only thing is, the only information I have about endo is from google. Bearing in mind I was in hospital for 4 days after my lap due to complications with it, I've not been given so much as a leaflet. Is this normal?!
Obviously I didnt want to trust everything I read on google, just need some advice on pain management, any other procedures/meds etc.
Thanks in advance x

Sadly yes this is normal. I had a total hysterectomy and BSO during which they discovered I had Stage 4 endo. I was discharged the next day without information as to whether my stitches were dissolvable or not. I never received so much as a post-operative letter or a histology report and was not offered a follow up appointment in clinic. When I asked to be referred to the BSGE centre (located across the corridor in the same Oxford hospital!) I was then offered a follow up appointment in the general gynae clinic. Tedious. Only by informing myself via this website (Lindle's posts are very informative) and others was I able to go back and insist on a referral to a BSGE centre.
You do need to inform yourself as to the nature of your medical condition. It is your responsibility to do this and your right to have the most effective treatment. I have had to fight to be taken seriously at every stage of this saga.
Oh god, I'm sorry you've had such an ordeal! Thanks for your advice, I feel like I live in the bloody doctors! I need to do more research and find new approaches to the ones I'm already taking. Thanks again
