Heat patches or hot water bottle?
Make sure you are taking something like Omeprazole to protect your gut from ulcers. I ended up with terrible gut pains after taking ibuprofen for a long bout of costochondritis - my GP had told me it was all I could do for the pain, and didn't warn me about the risks. Now, medics are supposed to prescribe things like omeprazole if you are taking ibuprofen regularly.
