I had my first laparascopy on Tuesday, currently in recovery and feelings quite sore! Feels horrible not being able to do normal things. After my surgery the doctor came to see me and said that they didn't see anything and everything was completely clear. Whilst that is good news, I felt very confused as why am I suffering with so much pain?? They think it's caused by dysmenorrhoea.. but how is it in previous scans they confirmed the presence of small endometriomas on my ovaries and now nothing? I've fed up of 2 out of the 4 weeks of the month having pain, feeling chronically tired and either throw up or on the verge of blacking out when my period is due ...

I had my first laparoscopy last year and I had been suffering the most awful pains which actually used to make me to the point of almost passing out! Before I knew why I thought my appendix had burst and even thought I might be dying! It was awful. They identified endometriosis on the transvaginal ultrasound a few months prior to surgery, however during my lap, they only removed a tiny amount although they could see previous endometriosis scarring. Apparently mine had decided to up and leave and self correct just prior to surgery!!
A year down the line and back comment symptoms! Unfortunately it seems to be a very unclear medical problem that is neither easily diagnosed nor treated!! And the bugger comes and goes exactly as it wishes!
